How do I choose a lab for CA Prop 65 testing?
Unlike CPSC regulations for children’s products, for which you have to conduct third party testing by an accredited testing lab, CA Prop 65 does not designate any specific laboratory for testing.
However, you need to make sure that your testing laboratory is up to date with the latest version of CA Prop 65 regulations as the restricted substances list under CA Prop 65 is updated on a non-regular basis.
How long it takes to get my product tested for CA Prop 65?
The testing process time may vary depending on the company and if you have any additional requirements. In general, it could take more than a mouth including sending samples and receiving the test result.
How much does a CA Prop 65 test cost?
The testing cost depends on the number of products, materials, and colors. Most of our customers pay around $300 per SKU they get CA Prop 65 tested.
