EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) Timeline

After two years of delays, the EU Deforestation Regulation (EU) 2023/1115 starts to apply from 30 December 2026. That being said, some requirements will only start to apply in the coming years.

In this guide, we list key dates under the EUDR to help you understand when certain requirements apply to your company and products.

Methodology

Step 1: I mapped out all the articles mentioning a date*

Step 2: I determined if the requirement is relevant to either:

  • Operators and traders
  • EU Commission or Member States

Step 3: The respective EUDR requirements tied to a particular date were added to one of the two tables below

*Note that the table contains the dates identified during this stage. I cannot guarantee that I identified every single article or requirement tied to a specific date.
